National Highways are excited to launch the summer 2025 wave of Their T.R.I.P. road safety campaign on Monday 14 July. As with previous seasonal waves, this campaign is designed to help drivers remember key safety actions before setting off on long journeys.
This summer, they are focusing on a critical issue: driver fatigue. During the warmer months, fatigue contributes to 9.1% of deaths and serious injuries on the Strategic Road Network – a significant increase from the 6.4% average across other seasons.
To tackle this, National Highways are introducing “Set Sat Nav to Stunning” – a fresh take on rest stops. Encouraging drivers to break away from routine routes and discover scenic, enriching stop-offs that not only add value to their journey but also give them the vital rest they need to stay alert and safe.
The campaign will run until September 2025 and will be promoted across paid audio, social media, and partner channels.
